Our clinic employs a team of 40 physicians including 20 specialists, and 83 nurses, 26% of whom have advanced specialized training in the clinic?s focus areas. Two other vital organs that are transplanted in Essen are the kidneys and the pancreas.
Here, the most noteworthy aspects are live kidney donation and the associated cross-over program. The intensive care unit specializes in visceral surgery and thus enables optimum treatment of patients having undergone difficult surgeries as well as patients with liver failure and post-transplant patients.
